Into the Wild

So far in my book, Into the wild by Jon Krakauer, you already know that Christopher dies but it is showing you his more detailed backround. It tells you of his parents successes with there jobs and how important that was for them. For me, one significant flashback was when Chris graduated. His parents wanted to buy him a brand new car. It would replace his prized possession old car which was in any case crap and worn down. This made chris very very upset and couldn't understand why his parents would buy him a new car when he already had a perfectly good car of his own. I also find it interesting that he was very good friends with his sister and that they were kind of on the same side when it came to fights with his parents about money or some other foolish thing. One thing I always wondered is why didn't he tell his sister he was going away. There relationship was so strong and you would think he could share just about everything with her and why he was making this decision. I have yet to finish the book but am eager to learn more details of his choices and other people he meets.
