Into the Wild #8

Jon Krakauer is really a unique author and story teller. He takes this story about a kid who wanders into the wildernes and makes it a huge story and describes the character perfectly. I think just about everyone knows Christopher dies in the wilderness but I was really surprised when the author reveals the ending to you in the first few chapters of the book. I think this is not a bad idea because a lot of people would want to know the details and all of his adventures. This is the first book I have read where the ending is basically revealed in the end. The movie is done differently because he is shown dying at the end of the movie after it tells his life and his adventures that he endured before sufferering in the harshness of Alaska and the wilderness. I still think its cool how the book goes into so much more detail then the movie and you can really get a lot more out of the story that way. In the part that I just read a bunch of hunters from ATVs find christopher about 2 weeks after his death they later find out and his parents find out way after that. There was even a note from him telling him he was starving and needed help fast but they were way to late.
